Description

This position is year round salary; includes employer paid medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits for employee coverage, qualified dependent coverage offer, eligible for 401K after one year.

Duties: The General Manager is responsible for financial, guest and employee success, which includes stewardship of the property and physical assets. Oversee and integrate all areas of Cooper Spur Mountain Resort and Cooper Spur Ski Area operations: restaurant, property management, sales/marketing, events, facilities, and recreation operations. Recognize the resort’s uniqueness; utilize creativity and resourcefulness to build on the financial performance and business development momentum already achieved. We are specifically seeking someone with strong culinary services management experience and skills.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Hospitality or related field or equivalent work experience. Minimum 5 years management experience preferably at a similar resort; experience in ski resorts and lodging preferred. Successful record of financial performance, planning, business development and innovation. Experience in all aspects of culinary services operations and management, particularly weddings and catered events. Exemplary human resources leadership including hiring, coaching, workplace safety, retention and team development; Spanish speaker a plus. Effective computer skills including office, point of sale and reservations. Ability to be insured to drive company vehicles. Must be comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business.
